Background Summary / Bio
Paul started working with Dr. Burdenko as a licensed Physical Therapist in the summer of 1997 specializing in The Burdenko Method of rehabilitation, training and conditioning. In 2002 he started working for Burdenko Certification Programs teaching TBM to hundreds of therapists, trainers, physicians, athletes and other health professionals to improve their quality of work and the lives of those they help. Along the way he has helped Dr. Burdenko with the continued development of TBM and has been helping to rehabilitate professional athletes, dancers and clients ranging from 5 years old to 92 years young. He remains as in integral part of TBM and continues to work alongside with Igor and all the members of the TBM Brain Trust.
I have been a professional ballet dancer in the Boston area for close to ten years now. During those years I sustained a few injuries, two of which were surgeries on my left knee, one being in 2007 and the other in 2012. I have been working with Paul Salvi since 2006, and if it was not for his knowledge of the Burdenko method, in no way would I have been able to come back to dancing both times as strong as I did. After my last surgery, in May of 2012, I trained very hard with Paul over that summer so that I could be back for my company’s September start date. I ended up coming back stronger than ever. The following year was my best year dancing to date. I was and still am at my peak and I owe it all to Paul. Throughout my lifetime I have worked with multiple physical therapists and I have never come across one that can live up to Paul and the Burdenko method. You come back from injuries training like athletes. It is not your traditional physical therapy treatment, you train both in the pool and on land. It really works. Paul Salvi is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and truly cares about each and every client in making sure they get back on track. He honestly is the best. I trust him over anyone and recommend him to everyone.
